DVS Records presents you the debut album from Denmark's new progressive rock/metal band Chrome Shift, entitled "Ripples In Time".
In January 1999 Otto Schütt (guitar) and Jens Christian Nielsen (bass) decided to form a band, which was to play original compositions inspired by the progressive metal-scene. Soon they teamed up with piano-player Jakob Paulsen and drummer Poul Terkildsen and rehearsing began. The four musicians played a year while looking for the perfect singer. At last they found Rasmus Bak and rehearsed only once with him before Chrome Shift recorded a demo-CD in Aabenraa-Studios in Denmark in February 2000, with the famous Danish producer Jacob Hansen behind the mixer.
Chrome Shift's music is inspired by progressive legends such as King's X, Pain Of Salvation and Dream Theater, but the band tries to have their own sound. The band wants to play music for the body and soul while delivering a well-played live-show. That's why DVS Records picked them up, another band that fits perfectly to our roster of young, talented bands in the progressive rock/metal scene.

Ever since I heard the opener 'Nightmachine', I couldn't get it out of my head. For weeks! Now, after finally finding this great debut album on cd baby, I can say that there is not a single song on this cd that lets you down. And one of the most evolved song's in the prog metal world has to be 'Ripples in Time'. One word. AWESOME!!! Get this cd!!! I can't wait for Chrome Shift's next strike.

Chrome Shift rocks with style and evoke musical dreamscapes

Ripples in Time is a very impressive debut album by these very talented musicians! There is a good range of moods between the songs which will give any ProgRock fan something to get into. The musicianship and vocals are excellent too. Best numbers are Full Moon, In My Own Dream and the Ripples in Time series finishes out the album with a blast. You can get a little taste from the sample tracks but you really need to hear the whole thing booming out of your sound system to fully appreciate it. An added bonus is the great artwork included in the CD.
