Chubby Nothin' and The Bone has blown a gasket.
With the change in the female vocals and two years of playing since the last CD they have come up with a CD that is Funky, Fun, Soulful and dynamic.
It is a rollercoaster ride through the amusement park we call music... (What the F#$K)
It kicks ass. enough said.

By mid-set, management was thinking of changing the signs to read "Chubby Bear".

Great sound! The brothers Wilhite and John Skach put down a great rhythm that blends perfectly with the vocals from Sara & Colleen. Listening to the CD makes me anxious to see the band in action! This CD is FUNKY (in a good way)!

I found CN'TB while trolling through MP3.com for Funk/Groove/Rock tunes and
instantly was turned on by the tight groove in "Same Old Game". "Dance the
Ugly" showed me these guys have a great sense of humor as well as great
in-the-pocket playing skills. A lot of groups sound good the first few
times you hear them but wear thin quickly. Chubby Nothin' and the Bone have
impressive depth and musical range that makes their music more interesting
each time you listen. Contrast the gritty vocals and foot stomping blues
groove on Walk through Hell with the plaintive female vocals on Aaron.
Tucked at the end of this song is a haunting, classically inspired bass-led
instrumental bit that is only a few bars long and leaves you wishing for
more. I can't wait for more.

With their second CD release, "Same Old Game", CN'TB hasn't lost a step in their lively performances
that make bodies move. The title track to the CD shows this. "Same Old Game" punches at you with
the Wilhite's guitar talents as well as Luke's funk-inspired vocals. Colleen and Sara bring it all together.
Outside of Luke's lead vocals, Colleen and Sara stand out well on their own doing leads. "Guilty of the
Same" features Stotts on lead vocals with a strong voice reminiscent of the great Shirley Bassey and
music even more wicked than Blues Traveler on a good night. Heneghan adds contrast to the vocals
with the slower and soulful "Aaron". Heneghan's vocals are very Lillith Fair in sound, making you just
want to ignite your lighter and hold it high.
While Chubby Nothin' and the Bone may not have landed that major recording contract, they are still
exploding nonetheless. You can find them doing frequent performances at venues such as the Elbo
Room and Cubby Bear. In my opinion, it's all a matter of time before CN'TB is seen accepting a
Grammy for talent like this.
