It all started at the age of 9. Mesmerized by the guitar playing of Glen Campbell and Jerry Reed, Chuck was fascinated with the guitar. “I wanted to be like them when I grew up.” So he started taking guitar lessons. Inspired by the teachings of his guitar instructor, Paul Parker, it started him on a musical journey. “He was the source of my inspiration that fueled my musical passion.” Since then, Chuck has never looked back. He and his sister Terri played a myriad of guitar recitals under the tutelage of Parker, honing their skills. After years of playing in various cover bands, Chuck realized his true calling was composing his own music. He spent countless hours writing and recording original songs. Not only is he a great songwriter but he also plays all the instruments on his recordings. All of this has led him to develop an interest in recording and mastering all of his work. On his debut CD, Open Highways, Chuck delivers an
impressive array of songwriting and guitar soloing skills.

Open Highway to heaven!
author: Gareth Seward
Storming debut from a brillinat guitar player! Chuck Marcovecchio’s “Open Highways” is one of those CDs you’ve probably not heard of but should have. It would be a great addition to any music fan or guitar freak’s CD collection.
All the tracks here are outstanding. “Red Moon”, demonstrates an expression of melodic tastefulness that reminds me a touch of early Satriani. Not just bashing out notes and arpeggios for the sake of it, but rather thoughtfully taking the musical content into consideration rather than over indulgent flailings.
“Dream Catcher” is possibly my favourite track on this record. In fact it’s worth paying the price of the CD just for this track alone! Tracks like “Boiling Point” and “Open Highways” are strong entities in themselves, and the blazing Stevie Ray Vaughn-on-acid scuttlebuttinesque “Fire Storm” is a treat to listen to. The carnival of emotion that sings in “Falling Tears” is truly an accomplished piece of work from such a talented guitarist and musician as Chuck.
You owe it to yourself to check this record out. Highly recommended listening!

Good guitar licks from this artist. One has to really enjoy the guitar instrumental feel. Does a very good with the jazz fusion. Good job.
