This is by far Chuck's best creative art. His instrumental songs are so moving. His wide range of jazz, rock, and blues are extremely moving. Not only is he a talented musician, but he does his own mixing, recording, mastering, etc. His earlier CD's of "Horizons" and "Open Highways" defines his own identity. Check these out as well as his "Silhouettes". Good job, well done.

The latest CD - and best yet from Chuck Marcovecchio!

If you’re a fan of instrumental guitar wizardry, and you’re not familiar with this artist- then you should be. Check out Chuck’s debut “Lost Highways” and it’s follow up “Horizons” and familiarise yourself with this truly wonderful and gifted musician.
“Silhouettes” is his third outing, and for me personally, it’s his best and most creative work he has done to date. The music just seems to flow naturally with colour, emotion and technical excellence yet always remains accessable to even the most casual of listeners. None of the tracks here are mindless guitar “noodling” that can leave some cold. Instead, Marcovecchio’s tasteful and articulate phrasing has a knack of tapping into emotions through musical portraits, themes or soundscapes that the listner is left to define in their own individual way. That is the true beauty of Chuck Marcovecchio’s talent.
Whilst drawing on a wide range of influences, this collection of tunes bears the unmistakable stamp of Chuck’s own musical identity. The rich versatility in his musical palette is evident when you hear the contrast between beautifully crafted and moving tracks such as “Evanence” and “Antiqua” and the wailing, bluesy “EZ Blues” with it’s impudent guitar licks all the way to the latino cyber-groove of “Desert Winds”.
The sublime beauty of the title track, “Silhouettes”, is awesome whilst the atmospheric “Echoes” is simply stunning. Two real killer tracks that stand out on a record where every track is a stand out!
I highly recommend you check this CD out if you are a fan of jazz/blues/rock guitar playing. Chuck Marcovecchio is one of those undiscovered gems that you’ll take great pride in doscovering and telling others about.
