CHUCK McPHERSON is a native of Detroit, Michigan who spent his formative
years in Englewood, NJ and New York City. He is the son of saxophonist jazz
great, CHARLES McPHERSON. CHUCK grew up
in an atmosphere of heavyweight jazz masters such as Art Blakey,
Max Roach, Harold Land, Horace Silver, Billy Higgins and Freddie Hubbard, to
name a few. CHUCK is an outstanding percussionist
who performed at the Charlie "Bird" Parker Festival in NY City. He
recently completed a tour of Italy with his father. CHUCK is a talented
composer, singer and much sought after drummer
nationally and internationally.
