Just superb. THANK YOU, Chuck

I've heard your song Whisper in my Ear first on Smoothjazz.com Radio and thought, I need to get this CD and as I was trying to locate this CD in the Listening Loft on Smoothjazz.com it was not offered there anymore. Sandy Shore gave me your email address and you suggest CDBaby to buy your CD. I bought it right away and now..... I can't stop listening to it. I was always looking for this kind of music and never really found something comparable, especially here in Germany. Really excellent. I can't wait until your next CD is coming out. THANK YOU again, Chuck and you're are on the right way with this music. I've told many friends about your CD.

Nice debut by this guitarist
author: Soul Tracks
Chuck Mills' initial solo release, Thank You, is a nice debut, featuring his slick guitar work atop an early 90s feeling groove. Sounding a good deal like his major influence, Ernie Isley (in fact, a couple of cuts on Thank You would have fit right in on Isley’s 1991 solo album High Wire), Mills writes, sings, plays guitar on and co-produces everything on Thank You. The album is at its best when it is straddling the soul/smooth jazz area, such as on the strong title cut, a lovely ballad. Even better is the lilting “Whisper In My Ear,” a popular cut on smooth jazz stations in Europe and a nice introduction to Mills’ formidable talents. (To see more of review, go to www.soultracks.com)

No, Chuck...thank YOU!
author: Barry Towler ("The Lowdown" - Soul Express)
Chuck Mills is a guitarist-vocalist of the highest order and his album is one that I enjoyed from start to finish. I was immediately sold on this CD when I heard the SUPERB Whisper In My Ear. The opening bars of the track with Chuck’s vocals had me thinking it was an unreleased Ali Ollie Woodson song! I can hear a prominence of Ernie Isley’s vocal talents too, as well as the obvious guitar influence of the great man. Crammed with ballads, midtempo pacers and bass-trembling funk, this should appeal to a wide variety of soul lovers. Thank You is a very worthwhile CD that I can put on and leave on. Chuck crafts his melodies very well indeed and uses his skills to weave the magic of soul, funk and contemporary R&B to good effect. Apart from the obvious Isley influence, I also hear a healthy smack of Chuckii Booker in the bass lines too. Fans of classy modern REAL soul, and fans of the independent scene will lap up this CD, and I cannot recommend it enough. Get back in that studio, Chuck, as this is not enough!!!
