ONE PAST JODY..... \"Big Sound,Slammin Drums..Rippin Guitar and Vocals\"....
On this third CD, I focused on featuring my rockin\' guitar
and songwriteing.
Reading through the album cover\'s inside, you\'ll see a
few names mentioned, - musicians I have collaborated with
throughout the years and still enjoy playing live gigs
with. I guess the advantage of being a solo artist lies
in the ability and privilege to call on the varied talents
of fellow tunesters and performers to achieve the sound
swirling around in my mind when writing songs.
You\'ll be delighted to hear my re-written and re-arranged
version of \'Play With Fire\' (The Rolling Stones), and a
repeat session of \'No Skin Off Me\', which has become a
favourite single download.
We all had so much fun recording \"ONE PAST JODY\',
that I\'m almost sad to see it finished and up on my
website! Enjoy!.....EarBuzz U.S A. REVIEW....Chuck Page knows his way around a rock-n-roll tune. He does not seem concerned with glossy finishes or wordy press releases. This artist lets his trusty guitar do the talking. One Past Jody is a testament to Page\'s dedication to his craft, and chock full of heavy rockin\' guitars and pounding drum lines. \"Lone Streets\" kicks off the record and sounds like the unlikely marriage of Motley Crue and George Thorogood. If that oddly placed, metaphoric collaboration didn\'t stun you into listening, check \"Lookin Kinda Crazy.\" This cut goes from a Floyd-like opening to Cinderella, with its soaring chorus, nutty drumming and escalating guitar solos. Page manages to write (and play of course) songs that represent all shades of rock-n-roll, sometimes containing sounds from one end of the spectrum to the other. \"Black Shot Rue\" could find itself in a ZZ Top or a Van Halen set. His sound is blues, classic, old skool, or, simply: Rock. Chuck Page personifies the many differing layers of rock-n-roll. This could be the key to his appeal. One Past Jody will hopefully find its way into the jukebox at local pubs near you. MM
