Album Notes

There are many elements at work in the guitar playing, original compositions, and arrangements of Austin recording and performance artist Chuck Pinnell. Classical and spanish guitar, as well as folk, country, and jazz provide a unique blend of traditions that inspire his theme based instrumental guitar albums and performances.
Chuck Pinnell has composed the scores for six feature films, including Sundance winner "The Whole Shooting Match" and Berlin Film Festival winner, "The Last Nite at the Alamo".
Chuck Pinnell's 2000 release, Twelve Rivers, and the 2003 release, Aces & Eights, explore a long standing fascination with American history and folk music. Both albums very effectively combine accoustic and classical guitar with a variety of stringed instruments.
His most recent work is the score for the feature documentary, The King of Texas, which premiered in march'08 at the SXSW Film festival in Austin, and will be released by Watchmaker Films in january '09.
He is also a former Kerville New Folk Winner and veteran solo performer, engineer, and producer.
