Folk Songwriting at its finest.

Chuck Williams and “Lightning in a Bottle” is a tour de force in folk style songwriting with a slight country sound. Released in 2010, this 10 track CD, his fifth studio offering, boasts over 40 minutes of introspective, folk songwriting at its finest. Chuck can really shine in his deep, intimate songs, which would prove him to be a strong, outstanding musical force in a now crowded genre of would-be singer/songwriters with southern influences. I found myself, at times, slapping my knee along to his unique style and songwriting.

I've listened to this CD over 4 times and just love it. Some of the music takes you back to the folk-rock of the of the Woodstock generation as in the title track....'is it just a dream'? The harmonies are a highlight along with the straight forward lyrics from a man that seems to have lived al ot of what he writes about. Nice under stated production that makes it all real. Reccomend this to anyone that loves acoustic, lyrical tunes.
