Album Notes

- - - Walt Churchey singer/songwriter based in Johnstown, Pa. is announcing the release of his first CD "Somewhere" on April 13, 2004. "Somewhere" is a collection of 12 original songs, all written and performed by Walt. He takes you on a journey through his songs, from "Somewhere" to "Almost There" with stops along the way to reflect, with songs like "American" a patriotic song written after 9/11 while his son was in Bagdad or "Back Way Home" about what could have been. "Breath of Magic" takes you on a journey through time with a father and daughter. While "They Don't Write "em Like You Anymore" takes you on a trip around the dance floor, songs like "Love Has Left The Building" and "L U V Radio" show his lighter side.

- - - Walt has been performing in Western Pa. since the seventies and started writing songs soon after. He has spent a lot of time knocking on doors and performing in Nashville the last few years. This CD has a lot of the songs he has been showing to publishers. Johnstown is home to Walt and he has no desire to move to Nashville to chase a dream. This CD is his way of getting his songs to his hometown and more.
