Album Notes

This is the 3rd or 4th album from these guys....I can't quite remember. That's what the road will do to your brain if you're on it for too long. The Church of YOU was on the road quite a bit. Mostly through California, Arizona and Colorado. They even rolled their band van in Utah and came a hairball away from being killed forever.

But now they have moved on and only come together for shows that demand their attention, like the Believers in Sasquatch 2nd Annual Picnic. That was nice...

More about the sound I suppose? Well they use a blend of old synths, drums, raging guitars, bass, and various other effects and weirdness. Too bad you can't see a picture of them. YOU (as they call it when they aren't getting cease and desist letters) come out in their space suits and proceed to knock the college kids (and the Believers in Sasquatch) into a stupor. That is, a stupor beyond the one those kids are already in with all that beer and drugs n stuff. youth....tsk tsk.

Obis Neh was recorded in a really nice studio, by the way. It's just that by the end of the production the record label was low on cash and the band memebrs were ready to throttle each other. Actually it wasn't that bad, but a break was needed....so the quality on this is good. It's not like they did it in some dirty warehouse.

SO buy it....you won't be sorry.....really!
