My name is Ciiru , For the first 13 years of my life l grew up in the shanties in Nairobi where all sorts of desperation was evident , My family never lacked and we were quite happy .We later moved out of the area but the images of poverty , hopelessness and injustice in society have stuck in my mind and have formed the basis of what l stand for. My main interest is economic justice .In my pursuit for justice and equal distribution of resources l have clearly seen that justice and equity is found in a relationship with Jesus Christ. The resources of God never run dry :
He says in isaiah 43 : 19 " See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. "
The songs in this CD are moments of my journey with God. The songs are supposed to inspire faith in God who is the Lord over all circumstances. I sing to celebrate the awesomeness of God. Asante means Thank you , God is good no matter what situation you are in and the more you become God-conscious by appreciating Him as the ruler of above all rulers , the easier it becomes for you to make a difference in our world and thus fulfil the purposes of God in your generation.
