Cin’atra

“The West Coast Messiah”

Cin’atra has built his style and image in the underground Hip Hop Scene. He goes by the moniker Cin’atra; adapted from Frank Sinatra. He says the reason why he named himself that; was to set his self a goal in the music industry as a respected and credited lyricist and performer. He has been featured on fifteen underground releases since 1999. He has released one solo album entitled “It’z Official”. He has traveled and performed all over the United States. He has opened up for such artists as Lil Flip, David Banner and the Ying Yang Twins. He built himself a good underground fan base in the US, Japan, Philippines as well as the Internet.

Cin’atra credits his underground success to being humble, intelligent and a true stage performer. He is a thought provoking lyricist, who delivers energetic, powerful and meaningful messages in his songs. He sees his self as a street teacher and educator for the younger generation. He set his self a mission to inspire and bring hope to the next generation of poor urban youth. His main goal is to be successful and provide opportunities through his music and record label.

His record label is Deep Groove Entertainment, a grass roots company funded with his own money. The first release from Deep Groove Entertainment will be Cin’atra’s second LP, “Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life The AudioBiography Of David (Mr. Cin‘atra) Lee“. Cin’atra sums up his latest album as a testimony to the streets and his harsh life. He says that this project means a lot to him and he enjoyed writing this album. "Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life" is a step in the right direction for the newcom

In the world of Hip-Hop, two sides have always existed. One consisting of the braggadocio-glamorous MC; and the other consisting of a more blue collar type of working MC. Meet Cin'atra, he happens to represent Hip-Hop for the working class man. On his debut album, "Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life", he does just that. When listening to the album, you won't find tales of platinum chains, Bentley GT's, or champagne popping. Instead you'll find issues that most people try to avoid, like poverty stricken neighborhoods, the senseless killings of young people, and single parent homes. On "Tha Ghetto" feat. Tyshawn, the native of Seattle narrates his childhood days of living through some of the toughest times he ever had to endure. "Sunny Dayz" is one of the more brighter spots on the album, where Cin'atra talks about the summer time through his eyes. "Down 4 Me" feat. Marioso and Amanda Dunn is an ode to the opposite sex, as he serenades his lady love, lyrically. "U Ain't No Psycho" which features F-Dux, Overflow, Marioso is a posse cut calling out all studio gangsters. "Punk Police" is pretty much self explanatory, as Cin'atra tells tales of police stories that all people can relate to. "Stugglin' (Livin Jus Enuff For Tha City)" is probably the strongest cut on the album, where Mo Suntzu of The Camp lends a helping hand. The both of them feed off each other perfectly as they talk about the everyday struggles that people go through. In the end, "Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life" is a step in the right direction for the newcomer. Cin'atra may not be the best lyricist out there, but its still refreshing to hear someone talking about something different for a change.

Lyrics Engaging, cohesive, Good use of imagery, Rhymes well, Communicates emotion to listeners and Vocal does help sell song. Lyrics to the song are well written. A nice descriptive track about growing up in the ghetto. Overall Comments Lyrically the song is a very well written piece that does a good job describing your upbringing that a lot of ghetto youths will be able to relate to. The production on the track is decent with some really nice basslines and good drum selection. I like the use of the vocalist on the chorus as I think it adds an extra layer of emotion to the song. I might be a little worried about the marketability factor, but I think you might be able work this track for some radio play. The entire composition of the song is well done. A nice solid track, definitely a great album track. Please keep up the good work, and best of luck with the hustle. Overall Review (10=Best) Music = 8 Lyrics = 7 Marketability = 7 Arrangement = 7 Production = 7 Engineering = 8
