"Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life" is a step in the right direction for the newcom
author: Syn-Cere
In the world of Hip-Hop, two sides have always existed. One consisting of the braggadocio-glamorous MC; and the other consisting of a more blue collar type of working MC. Meet Cin'atra, he happens to represent Hip-Hop for the working class man. On his debut album, "Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life", he does just that. When listening to the album, you won't find tales of platinum chains, Bentley GT's, or champagne popping.
Instead you'll find issues that most people try to avoid, like poverty stricken neighborhoods, the senseless killings of young people, and single parent homes. On "Tha Ghetto" feat. Tyshawn, the native of Seattle narrates his childhood days of living through some of the toughest times he ever had to endure. "Sunny Dayz" is one of the more brighter spots on the album, where Cin'atra talks about the summer time through his eyes.
"Down 4 Me" feat. Marioso and Amanda Dunn is an ode to the opposite sex, as he serenades his lady love, lyrically. "U Ain't No Psycho" which features F-Dux, Overflow, Marioso is a posse cut calling out all studio gangsters. "Punk Police" is pretty much self explanatory, as Cin'atra tells tales of police stories that all people can relate to. "Stugglin' (Livin Jus Enuff For Tha City)" is probably the strongest cut on the album, where Mo Suntzu of The Camp lends a helping hand. The both of them feed off each other perfectly as they talk about the everyday struggles that people go through.
In the end, "Rhymez Emphasizing Actual Life" is a step in the right direction for the newcomer. Cin'atra may not be the best lyricist out there, but its still refreshing to hear someone talking about something different for a change.

Overall Comments
Lyrically the song is a very well written piece that does a good job describing your upbringing that a lot of ghetto youths will be able to relate to. The production on the track is decent with some really nice basslines and good drum selection. I like the use of the vocalist on the chorus as I think it adds an extra layer of emotion to the song. I might be a little worried about the marketability factor, but I think you might be able work this track for some radio play. The entire composition of the song is well done. A nice solid track, definitely a great album track. Please keep up the good work, and best of luck with the hustle.
