ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Cindy discovered her passion for songwriting when she went from accountant to stay-at-home mom. After foregoing a health-scare with her youngest son, she felt called to re-examine her faith. "Was there really a God? How could a loving God let a little baby suffer like this?" Well, God showed up in miraculous ways in Cindy's life. Her son was healed and her faith was reignited! She and her husband joined a Bible Study group and started reading, "The Purpose Driven Life", by Rick Warren. During the section on discovering your passion, she got stuck on the question "What do you lose track of time doing?" She couldn't think of anything and was jealous of others in her group who knew what their passions and purposes were. She started praying for God to give her a passion. Not even a week or two later, when her husband was away on a fishing trip, and after she had put the kids to bed, she sat down to listen to an Eagles CD she had bought at a recent concert. She was taken back by the brilliance of their lyrics and melodies. She took out a notebook and started writing....."Searching for a purpose....wishing for a passion...Lord please answer...please hear this song I sing...reveal Your plan for me." She looked up at the clock. It was 2:00 am!!!!! She had lost track of time and God had indeed answered her prayer and given her the passion to write music!

Cindy has honest lyrics and is able to take a simple concept and put a spin on it that makes you think. A lot of her music comes from personal experience. She has struggled on and off with bouts of anxiety and that has given her much to write about. "In Your Arms" is a tender ballad asking God to hold her like a child, rock her and tell her everything is going to be okay. "Not Gonna Worry" is a catchy bubbly song that gets stuck in your head and reminds you not to worry.

This album is rich with instrumentation. Besides the usual guitar, piano, drums it also includes trumpet, trombone and a world-class saxophone player on many of the tracks. Check out the sax solo in "Ready To Follow". You will be blown away!

Cindy hopes this debut album will inspire your faith in Jesus and be ready to follow His lead. "My Hero" is a song that beautifully tells what He means to her. To Him be the glory!

The Lord is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.
Psalm 118:14
