Cindy Ribet is a singer, songwriter and musician who plays and teaches the hammered dulcimer, fiddle, recorders and guitar privately, at workshops and festivals.

Cindy had four other instrumental recordings but this is her first CD made as an instructional, \"play along\" CD.
The concept behind the CD was to provide a CD for musicians to practice playing lead and/or back up with old time fiddle tunes. The tunes were recorded in real time and then slowed digitally in order to maintain their pitch. Because the tunes are recorded at the normal rate you can hear the subtle nuances of the instruments as they play fast. And you can practice along with the slower version.
Instruments used on this CD are Fiddle, Bass, Banjo, Guitar and some Hammered dulcimer.
Each track has 4 minutes of the tune reduced by 25% to a slower speed and then the faster version to test ones ability to play it up to tempo.
The tunes are grouped according to keys and in order of difficulty within each key. The chord progressions are included within the liner notes as well as tips on utilizing the CD best.
