On "Letters Never Sent" New England's Collapse Into Reason expand upon their trademark "furiously morose yet upbeat" sound, pulling back the industrial guitar attack to reveal a pristine aural landscape punctuated by warm melodies and glowing electronics. Tempering enough aggression to keep the rivetheds stomping with the "doom and gloom" lyrical subject matter relevant to the genre, Collapse Into Reason succeed in presenting an "artsy" album rife with experimentation that is still imminently danceable. Since forming in 1999, Collapse into Reason have independently released two full-length albums, have appeared on three internationally released compilations, and have shared a stage with such notable acts as Ministry, Orgy, Type O Negative, Pigface, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult, The Cruxshadows, Bella Morte, Croc Shop, Chris Connelly, Meg Lee Chin, Slick Idiot (KMFDM) and Bile.
