Album Notes

Circle Of Thorns is a NEW 6 piece Metal/Alternative Metal /Hard Rock band from New York. Virtuoso drummer extraordinaire A.J Pero from Twisted Sister is the drummer for Circle Of Thorns. Circle Of Thorns also features amazing guitar virtuoso Steve Irons (aka Steve Mironovich). Steve Irons is also the singer as well as the songwriter for the band. Mike Dunleavy is also on 7 string guitar & backing vocals. Circle Of Thorns also has two incredible bass players Jimi Brix & Sean Eganz. The sound is gloomy, dark, heavy & metallic.
Review from Taste Of Khaos internet magazine blog - .O.k., I'm not gonna lie, what really first caught my eye when I heard and saw COT's page, was A.J. Pero from Twisted Sister, holy shit! Man did I love Twisted Sister! A.J. Pero is one bad ass drummer who has been on the Metal scene for some time, but then again Steve Irons is one bad ass guitar player who has also been on the Metal scene for some time...combine their talents with two shreddin bass players , and you have one hell of a combination!
And make no mistake although some of COT's members have been on the Metal scene a while COT's
sound is anything BUT dated!!

This album is ear candy, you are pulled in and thrown into a 360 degree spin when you hear the chest pounding rythmes,it gets into your dna and strikes a primal chord in your soul. Then the guitar solos (some of the best since the late great dime bag). You will love this from the first time you listen to it.

These guys may have been around for awhile, but stale this album is NOT. What this album delivers is metal "that stays crunchy, even in milk!!" Steve Irons' vocals and soul-bearing lyrics will stick to your ribs and his guitar just grinds at you relentlessly (in a good way), A.J Pero comes at you like a freight train to this day, and Mike, Jimi and Sean keep the underlying rythyms churning and steady for what culminates in what I consider a virtuoso hardcore effort. If this is what they bring to their first effort, I'm already licking my chops for the next full course. The first metal band that has turned my head in many, many years, they have a considerable loyal following already online, and really gave a damn about giving the jaded metal masses something to talk, and care about. Not to be missed...grab them while you can and CRANK IT UP!!!!!
