ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
CISSY'S BIO

Cissy McCaa was born in Nashville, TN and grew up in Franklin, TN. where her father practised dentistry and her mother was a full-time homemaker. At age 12, she and her brother and parents relocated to Memphis, TN, where she continued her education.

She studied classical piano for 12 years and classical ballet and tap for 8 years. Her profesional career began at age 16 as a vocalist with the Memphians, an 18 piece jazz band. After 2 1/2 years as a music education major in college, she embarked on a tour of the USA and Europe with Infinity, a variety dance band. Entertaining in various clubs, restuarants and military bases, she learned the value of being able to perform in many musical styles.

In 1981, she surrendered her life and talents to Jesus Christ and began writing songs which express her faith and love for her Lord and Savior. Today, she lives with her husband of 19 years, Clifford McCaa, in Progreso, Yucatan, Mexico. Cissy and Cliff share their faith with locals and residents from all over the world with music and preaching in churches, concerts and revivals. Their goal is to reach as many as possible with the lifesaving gospel of Jesus Christ. May God Bless you as you listen to the inspired music of Cissy McCaa.

Ian Paulin

It's devotional, spiritual and a little gospel blended carefully.
In a deeply personal journey Cissy McCaa presents a very attractive set of songs which is pleasing, well recorded and is sung and played well. It's devotional and spiritual, a little gospel blended carefully with some presonal motivation and growth. This is a CD, which is rich in texture musically. Although there are not too many surprises as each song unfolds, it is well put together. Cissy's voice has a lot of "ummp" and is well supported by playing and arrangements that U.S. mainstream recording studios typically handle very well. The stories are hopeful, fulfilling and convey an almost sensuous engagement with McCaa's spirituality. The songs and vocals build well with each track and will be very satisfying anyone looking for a clear and well-intentioned journey towards their God. There are quite attractive shifts in tonal centre in some of the songs that lifts the interest. Its Gospel message is for the most part handled with sensitive subtlety, which would allow the non-Christian to appreciate a good piece of work, well done.
Track Highlights: Shekinah Glory has quite a different feel to the rest of the CD.
