Album Notes

Rock/pop, New Wave group C i t i z e n 5 was formed in the spring of 2006 by Ricardo Sasaki and Jason Long. These two previously met in the fall of 2005 while working together on a studio album for a local artist. Scott Sunderman and Paulo Valles, whom had previously played together in a local band, joined C i t i z e n 5 through a mutual friend in the summer of 2006. They were both an excellent addition to the band and they helped create a unique and distinctive sound. After struggling to find the right fit for lead vocals, Jimmilea was added in late 2006. Their birthplaces span from Boliva, Mexico and the United States, hence the name C i t i z e n 5; five citizens of the world. Their musical backgrounds vary from Rock, Heavy rock, experimental to Latin. There are definitely hints of each of these in the bands style. Their live show is soulful, dramatic but also full of energy. The band’s goal is to stay hard working, creative and write music that appeals to a vast array of audiences. It is important to have something to say to the world. Each member has dedicated their lives to the pursuit of the ultimate sound which they call C i t i z e n 5.
