I heard of this band from someone who is related to one of the band members. I was sweating over what noncommittal, faux-complimentary phrasing I could use when they ask me what I thought of the band. NOT TO WORRY! This CD is GREAT! In addition to the high level of musicianship these folks employ, the tracks are lovely, original, daring tunes reminiscent of King Crimson in some of its best incarnations. The wide variety of styles and instruments used in creating these sometimes haunting/sometimes funky soundscapes insures that repeated listenings will continue to reveal exciting new elements. I look forward to more from this band and can honestly recommend Crawling From The Wreckage to anyone who enjoys music that veers away from the mainstream.
