Charlotte Jane | Out of the Blue

The Charlotte Jane Band is a smooth jazz, funk & soul outfit, featuring Charlotte Jane on vocals and violin and Shami Marandawela on guitar along with a stellar rhythm section. They are in demand performing for festivals, corporate functions and events, both locally and internationally.

Their debut EP features the title track 'Out of the Blue', an original bossa nova that reflects on the time tested value of forgiveness in relationships. The following three tracks take the listener through a sample of well executed arrangements of classic jazz, fast paced latin groove and phat funk bass lines in 'Jungle Boogie/Bustin Loose'.

The interesting mix of lead vocals and violin from Charlotte Jane highlight the depth of musicality that is a centerpiece to an exceptional band. 'Out of the Blue' captures the live sound of the Charlotte Jane Band, showcasing their passion, humour and experience to produce a refreshing recipe for jazz that grooves and music that moves you.
