The Biography of "CJ from Brooklyn"




Cazenry Bussey, also known as “CJ from Brooklyn” was born on July 28, 1988. CJ’s father recognized his son’s premature talent and love of music and immediately began working to develop what he knew would be history in the making. By age seven CJ was already recording in major studios and meeting major recording artists such as Daddy-O, Keydar Massenburg and Slick Rick.


As CJ grew so did his talent and skills. In high school, CJ was privileged to meet musical icon Tony Bennet. Bennet gave CJ the opportunity of a lifetime, to perform one of his own compositions at the prestigious Carnegie Hall.


Though his performance career was burgeoning and things were happening all around him, during his sophomore year CJ lost his eyesight. CJ did not see this as a hindrance, but rather a challenge that fashioned in him the determination to overcome his blindness, excel in his studies and graduate in June of 2006. By this time CJ was on to bigger and better things. CJ’s promo was played on Hot 97 every morning for about a year and a half and greatly increased his presence in the music industry. He is currently performing to sold-out crowds throughout New York and preparing for the release of his debut album.


CJ’s determination has been one of his strengths and has caused him to be dogmatic in his fight to the top. He has teamed up with his producer Dre Million and Dungeon Music Inc. with plans to take over the music industry with his incredible, soulful vocals and stunning ability to create hit music.
