We here at Goose Island Records are proud to present this new compilation CD of lost tapes by late..and great Chuck Koster..The songs span..nearly fifty-years,since we included Chuck's first recording..done in 1945..at The Sorbonne in Paris,France during WW11.. when he served in the Army..and was leader of his Army band."Up A Lazy River".
Also included is "Ivory Tower"..the last song he recorded here in Chicago in 1994!!
We hope you enjoy the music..which was a hugh part of Chuck's life..and gave him much joy!! All selections besides the previously mentioned were recorded in Chicago..or Nashville,Tennessee."Flashback Blues"was Chuck's first stint at recording in Nashville. He chose this John Prine tune..and was the first artist to do so...

I have this Cd..Chuck had to be the best"Saloon" singer around the Chicago area.

I found this to be a CD of eclectic music..with style and grace..Chuck's version of John Prine's "Flashback Blues" is terrific!! I find it hard to believe no one else has covered this great song.."Hello In There" is haunting..with only Chuck and his guitar!!Five stars!!!!
