An absolutely fabulous CD from veteran NYC country-rock diva

A disc I've had for a while but I'm loving it more and more each listen, so it's my pick for January. And it really rocks! A long-awaited CD, I had high expectations having enjoyed these songs played live. The recordings sound even better that I hoped for, a rare accomplishment. Great backing band and production but it's Courtney's writing and vocals that makes one of the best CDs, indie or otherwise of 2003. Did I say it really rocks?!

Lucinda williams meets laura cantrell! know what i mean?

in 2003, when this cd first came out, Laura cantrell the driving force with her husband behind diesel only played time from this one like crazy on her radio thrift shop. now that i've gotten internet access, just in the last few minutes went to cd baby page to listen to it. before doing so looked at the reviews was shocked to find no one but one person wrote one. well this is rockin' country and well yeah yeah yeah and lot o yeah! so if you want a whole lot-a yeah, grab this one. you've got to love any artest who put a song called "sleazebag on a cd. this is what you'd get if you combined the sweet sounding voice of Laura cantrell with the rockin' cool of lucinda williams. like i said whole lot-a Yeah!
