A little bit of sass, a little bit of blues and a ton of chick rock put Laura Clapp in a category all her own.
Laura was raised on Ella, Sinatra, The Beatles, Mozart and Pearl Jam, to name a few. She learned how to mix a martini before she could ride a bike and she will beat you at darts, blindfolded.
Fresh out of the Berklee College of Music and faced with the choices of New York, Los Angeles or Nashville, Laura decided to starve comfortably and headed for the Music City. Since her arrival in Nashville, Laura has created quite a buzz; directing the nationally acclaimed Chick Singer Night at the world famous Bluebird Cafe and by making her living solely as a performer/demo singer. She's written with some of country music's finest, but call her country and she might slap you.
Laura delves into themes of carelessness, love and one night stands, and that's just track one of her newest release, Simply. Next, it's on to rock bottom romance with brief stops at forgiveness and lazy afternoons. Her music draws you in, but it's Laura's voice that will leave you wanting more.
With Simply now complete and ready for flight, Laura is packing up her Saturn to hit the open road. After getting entirely too fidgety in Tennessee these past few years, she's on her way to the moon with stops in a town near you. Visit www.lauraclapp.com for tour dates.
