Over the past few years I have had the opportunity to study my father's library more closely while organizing his originals into the Clare Fischer song books for his publisher, Advance Music. I came across a variety of songs that had been written over the past 30 years, but for one reason or another had never been recorded. Now finally they have their place here in this collection.
Songs such as "Quiet Reflections" and "Bells" were written recently, whereas others, especially "Borboleta," were written decades ago. Each of these songs is like a gem that has been hidden away and rediscovered. I hope you will enjoy listening to these now as much as I did when I first found them and put them in front of my father to play once again.

Introspective and soothing, Fischer's solo piano album proves delightful in its
author: Jim Santella in Jan.2006 issue of Jazz Improv
The introspective album gives the artist an opportunity to share his innermost feelings. “Silenciosa” and “Soñé,” both by Mario Ruiz Armengol, represent the kinds of folk song melodies that can capture our hearts in an instant. “All the Things You Are” is interpreted with hearts afire in a dynamic display of melody floating on clouds. Fischer gives this one a deep, rumbling bass foundation upon which he floats its graceful textures with lyrical strides. “Fairyland” lets the pianist wander casually over smooth territory of a mellow nature. With his Duke Ellington medley, we get three lush dreamscapes that emphasize melody and a rich harmonic layer as Fischer provides us with heartfelt interpretations.
Fischer’s original compositions tell stories about where he’s been and who has affected him. “Coming Home” saunters amicably, looking for the welcome arms that await him, through mellow refrains and a beautiful melody. “Ice Crystals” floats gently on a delicate web of thin fibers, while “Western Airlines” rumbles evenly through friendly skies of blue. Fischer’s impressions bring each theme alive. “Children at Play” comes with embedded animation, while “Borboleta” sparkles with lyrical beauty. “Eternally Yours” summarizes the album through its combination of swinging rhythms, romantic balladry and peaceful motions. Introspective and soothing, Fischer’s solo piano album proves delightful in its placid setting.

When I found my first Clare Fischer solo album 30 years ago,
I heard better music than I ever expected to find.I was
delighted someone wrote he found inspiration in the woods.
Most people don't hear it though, which reminds me of that
W.C.Fields remark:'If the trees had tits,you'd look!'.
