ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Aspiring screenwriters take note: Clark Slater's new release "Long Way From Home" has the feel, imagery and hook-filled melodies of a movie soundtrack. The songs are a tapestry of love, loss and memory, each interwoven with themes of home, however one defines it. Whatever the dwelling place: a lover, a dream, peace of mind, or music itself, Slater's warm tenor voice, clear and strong, leads the listener on an unforgettable journey. Standout tracks include the lead-off "Bring the Love", a song where Slater's cited influence of U2 is evident, the pretty and bittersweet "Memories of Us", with its ghostly imprints of reminiscence and the hook-filled breakout single "Getting to Know You" which speaks of new love's initial hesitancy and gradual determination. "Long Way From Home" is an audio love letter of accessible pop/rock, a movie soundtrack in the making that gets in your head, latches on and won't let go.

Great CD !!
Clark Slaters strong amalgam of Pop and Rock sounds unique and honest. There´s no doubt that he´s a singer and songwriter with a knack for fine melodies and his music is a pleasure to listen to.

Great music!
Clark Slater's music is a pleasure to listen to with smooth vocals and a nice mix of rock, blues, and pop. I haven't stopped listening to this CD since I got it.
