Lyrics:
When I looked in the mirrow this morning I saw a bad imitation of me...LAST MAN ON EARTH
She left Louisiana mud on my soul and in my blood...
LAND OF ZYDECO
I opened the front door could not believe my eyes that girl had drove off with half my doublewide...HALF MY DOUBLEWIDE
Girl it's hard to reach for the stars working under hoods of old worn out cars...LAND ON THE MOON
She told me when Hell freezes over she'd give me a call well I'm still in Key Largo waiting for snow flakes to fall... I HOPE HELL FREEZES OVER
I fear the sands of time have buried everything I love north of exit ten...NORTH OF EXIT TEN
When my life is on the downside I can't afford a shrink I play me some Haggard and Jones...I DROP QUARTERS
He lay down on a park bench between the sports and social news...EDGE OF THE WORLD
All I need is that girl of mine and a big ol' glass of mad dog wine...THE GIRL I LOVE

Gracias Claude.

old time country music
author: Debra PlachThis is the music style I heard growing up as a child in Georgia. It brings back wonderful memories! Keep writing these true country music songs.
Excellent songwriter
author: Steve EricksonClaude has an excellent ability to write songs about people we all recognize. They are true to life portraits of people that suffer, survive and learn to deal with life. The music is varied as well and it is one of those CDs you find yourself singing along with. I enjoy this CD very much and would highly recommend it.
there are some gems in this diamond dust
author: thomas oliverintelligent lyrics matched by impressive but simple melodies. if you like your country real, you'll love: half my double wide; land on the moon; edge of the world, to name just three.

A great CD
author: Lonnie LadsonTraditional country music is rapidly disappearing. It is so good to hear an artist who writes and sings good traditional country music.
great lyrics-with feeling
author: Leon and Gayle MeenachBALLAD LYRICIST AND SINGER Claude Ray still has alot of Roxey Miss. in his soul and lyrics. We have known Claude for years and during his early song writing. He gets better with age-like fine wine.We think he has captured the real feeling of country and with a ballad flavor of James Taylor. He is real country-not this new stuff.Leon and Gayle Meenach-Locust Grove,Ga.
better with age
author: Captain Johnif ya like him as country, you should have heard him play the blues when he was a pore black chile in Roxie,Mississippi. He can play anything with feeling, from Willie to John Lee Hooker. Keep them songs a coming, Claude Ray.

DAMOND DUST IS BETTER THAN SNUFF!!!
author: Nona VoylesHeard some of these lines when I worked with him and knew he had it in his heart, now I hear it from his soul! He's got what it takes!
Real gut- level country
author: john whittGreat songs, bring out real feelings about real life. Deep meanings, tempered with subtile humor....keep 'em coming Claude. Like a good wine...ya get better with age.
There's a jewel in this case.
author: David ShieldsThe only thing Claude Diamond needs for stardom in the gritty waters of country music is a star maker; the rest of the ingredients are there in his lyrics and music. How does somebody like this go without discovery? Diamond Dust is pure, unembellished country music -- a jewell is in this case!
Intelligent songwriting with wit and feeling.
author: Biff CondorI saw Claude perform in Atlanta. I was impressed by the strength and variety of his songs, so I bought the CD. I was not disappointed. The songs on the CD cover a variety of subjects and all are outstanding examples of adult songwriting, not the candyass crap you hear on "Country Radio." Buy it, you'll like it!
Claude Diamond is the real deal!
author: tunelawyerWhen I first heard "Half My Doublewide," I knew Claude Diamond was no country-star wannabe. He is the real deal!! The songs on this CD, all self-penned, are brilliant. From rockers like "Doublewide" or "Last Man on Earth" to the tenderness of "Land on the Moon," Diamond's talent as a complex and multi-faceted writer and performer really come through. His rough, Kristofferson meets John Prine vocals will keep you smiling, as will the subtle wit that hides in every line. "The Phone Call" will send chills down your spine. Keith Stegall, where are you? Alan needs to cut that one! If you miss country music the way it used to be before drum loops and belly button rings, spend an hour with Claude Diamond. He is a 5 carat gem!
