Album Notes

Liner Notes: July 2010 marks the first Asia performance for Claude Diallo Situation. The band was invited to perform in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. The intimate setting of No Black Tie, Malaysia's top Jazz Club. Its professional and friendly team led by Evelyn Hii, combined with the excitement in showcasing us with one of Malaysia's best alto sax player Julian Chan in front of an enthusiastic audience has transcended our music - it is evidenced in this fresh and new approach to my compositions. To me, this recording truly reflects the beauty of Jazz, improvisation, friendship or simply traveling with music. I hope you will enjoy this CD the same way we enjoyed our experience in Asia. Thank you very much for listening. Your support is most important to us and we are convinced that this was only the beginning of our music journey in Asia - as in my eyes, Asia is where the future of Jazz lays.
Claude Diallo, October 12 2011
