The CD Cry Revolutions is about wars for wealth, blood diamonds and power. It is about telling the stories of children being used as soldiers in conflicts around the world, especially in Africa. When you listen to the song, you will be listening to the voice of a man who has seen it all.Clay 2 Nine lived in a war-torn country for years and became a war refugee.Songs from this CD could easily be used as soundtracks for films like Blood Diamonds.
With "Cry Revolutions",this prodigal prince of African reggae is taking us to a whole new level with a good melange of reggae, world music and reggaeton. His love ballad Mariama Christiana will remind anybody about that one true Romeo and Julliet love they may have experienced. Then you hear the chants and wailing. In Political Hypocrites when you think the big band is back in town,Clay 2 Nine strikes you with his highly political lyrics. The song Le Bouc Emissaire (the Scapegoat) allows the artist to showcase his ability to take on high pitches while maintaining his control over the notes. The World Cup 2010 song is a good one:exciting reggae full of shouts to keep a party moving.Irie! You experience even more in Me Na Reggaeman. In short, with the CD Cry Revolutions,Clay 2 Nine is not only back,he has returned to spread the message and raise the bar for what is expected of others.

Cry Revolutions...Positive Reggae
author: Maestro Bambino
This record is one of the most diversified that I have ever listened to for the decades that I have followed the reggae culture. All the tracks take different swings at the game.I have heard Youssouf Ndour,Baba Maal,Salif keita and other griots of West Africa sings with high pitches.Never before have I trembled from the voice of a reggaeman the way I do when I listen to Clay reach for the high notes when he sings Le Bouc Emissaire. Then you listen to Political Hypocrites and ask whether it is the same artist who sang like Pavrotti in the other song. Genius! The album is shaky, groovy, soulful, spiritual and lively. It is a must have.
