Biography Clay B

Clay B, originally from Surinam, Paramaribo, moved to Holland, Europe in 1983.
His father was a bassguitarplayer in a band in the 80’s.
But he never follow his father footsteps as a bassguitarplayer. He wanted to sing. His father played music such as Earth wind an Fire, Teddy Pendergress and Grover Washington jr.
in the house, these artists were a big influence on him to purchase the dream as a singer.
Funkmusic, HipHop, Jazz, Soul and R&B was all his father played at home.
It was until 1993 that he took his love for Black music serious when he heard Aaron hall on Guy’s first album.
He performed now and then with friends as a rapper but that is not really what he wanted to achieve although he love the music.
After that he continued performing alone as a singer.
