Album Notes

One day when I was about to go on tour with my band who had rehearsed and packed and were all ready to go, I got a call from A&M Records, (my then-label).

They said the record wasn't doing well enough and the tour was being canceled.

I must admit, at first I was rather ticked off and I thought about kicking some big bootay, but then I called up my agent and said that I would tour alone, acoustic or whatever it would take. ( Note: before that time I'd never stood on a stage alone, without a band.)

One week, and some unnecessary details later, I had been offered opening up over 60 gigs - nation wide for Tori Amos.

This CD is the that show.

With songs from Inarticulate Nature Boy, and some others to tame the hungry mobs, there are no fixes or overdubs, just me, my electric and sometimes acoustic guitar, and a lot of strangers getting to know each other.

In some ways this is my favorite CD to date in that it is totally real and un-produced.

It captures the energy of a time that became very defining for me as a singer, performer and writer.

Enjoy the show, and please join in.

- Josh

REVIEWS

Easily the most incredible solo live recording I've ever heard.

...and I own about 3,000 CDs, so that's saying a lot. It not only shows his talent as a performer & songwriter, but also give you a peek into what an incredibly nice & funny guy he was. Buy this NOW, because word on the street is that it's going out-of-print -- (?!?) -- and this one RARELY comes up on eBay.

This is Josh, all Josh, and nothing but Josh.
author: Mark B.
Josh is never better than when it's just him and his guitar. If you like Josh or School of Fish you will love this. The first time I saw him in concert was on this tour and I can't believe it took me 8 years to finally realize this album exits. This is the best one! He is so alive!
