These songs are an example of my musings over the last twenty years or so. I wrote, sang, played all instruments, except for "Damn Whiskey." The Pedal Steel that was played by Tom Diemer, Fender Telecaster was played by Henry Mittnacht, and Hammond was played by Al Bacon. I also recorded, and mixed these songs, so I take full responsibility, for better or worse! Everything was mastered by Blue Mountain Mastering in Nashville Tennessee.
It all started in the Sierra Nevada's of California, and ends in the hills of the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. You sure can hear my younger voice in songs like "Lovers and Flowers", also, in the song "You", compared to newer songs like "Damn Whiskey" which, by the way, was told to me by a homeless guy outside a food bank. I asked him how he was doing, and the first words out of his mouth, as he held up his bagged bottle were "this damn whiskey!" Then there's "Until Our Season Ends" where I sound like an old Dude! Oh well. Hey wait! I am an old dude! I almost forgot. Well, sorta.
Some of these songs are written from personal experience, Others are based on the life experiences of other folks, mostly spoken around a campfire, or during a break while on a gig at a local hang out. Either way it all came out of my heart in song, and now comes to you kind folks. I hope you enjoy, and may God bless you!
