Clear Blue has been playing private parties and small venues in the Tulsa area for about a year now. In late 2002, Paul McGoff started pulling together musicians that were interested in playing original music instead of the usual stock covers. He met Mark Aziere at an acoustic open mic night that Mark and his brother had been hosting and invited him to sit in with Paul and some friends. After spending a couple of months working up new music with Paul, Mark called in old friend and bass player Tom McBay, who was between projects and looking for something new. Tom called in long time jamming partner Kevin Willett to solidify the rhythm section, and the chemistry was finally right for producing some exciting new music. "Outpouring" showcases the wide range of moods and energies that make up the Clear Blue sound.
Paul is on lead guitar and carries most of the lead vocals, with influences ranging from deep blues to classic rock, blending styles as diverse as Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Ian Moore and Robert Johnson. Mark on keyboards adds influences running from southern rock like the Allman Brothers and Marshall Tucker to pop influences like Elton John and Billy Joel. Tom adds additional lead and backing vocals and fills out the bottom end with a bass style based in southern blues rock but flavored with a little old metal and a touch of classic R&B. Kevin on drums adds a rhythm style that is Texas blues and classic rock blended with a little swing and a little jazz to keep everybody hopping. Playing a line-up that is almost all original music, this mixture of styles and talents adds up to nothing short of magic.

Unique original music from a TULSA band?
It's been a long time in coming. Although the production of the CD needs a little work, it's easily overlooked as the music far surpasses anything i've heard in the Tulsa area for a long time in the Blues/rock genre. Keep up the good work and looking forward to your next live performance.
