Clear View Mass Choir
Featuring the Seacoast Revival Mass Choir
"Take Up Your Cross"

For years, it has been gospel music that has drawn in the members to Clear View Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. They call themselves "Holy Ghost Headquarters". Going without a pastor for periods of time, the pews remained full solely based on the sounds from their awesome choirs. God answered the church's prayers for a good shepherd through Rev. Eric Beckham who has been the pastor since 1993. Now, with powerful preaching and soulful singing, the package is complete. Minister of Music Kevin O. Davis has hired an all-star slate of musicians, producers and engineers to present this great project. Joe Wilson (husband and producer of Natalie Wilson & The SOP Chorale) served as the production consultant, adding his contemporary flavor to the traditional sounds of Clear View's "down-home" feel gospel music. The "Take Up Your Cross" CD is simply real by all accounts.

Singing with the Clear View Mass Choir is the Seacoast Revival Mass Choir. Its members come from 36 different churches that make up the Seacoast Missionary Baptist Association located in Ocean and Monmouth Counties in Central New Jersey. In serving as their Minister of Music for a decade, he decided to bring together all of his choirs for this project. The unity of voices is clearly manifested in every note. Recorded live at Clear View and directed by Min. John Fryer, the collection reaches all generations and includes many songs of thanksgiving, praise and worship for all to enjoy. This is a CD that is timeless and can be listened to over and over.

The project is currently being independently distributed by the church, CDBABY.com and in local record stores in Central and North Jersey. Minister of Music, Kevin O Davis has relocated to Dallas, Texas. He currently serves as the Minister of Music of Friendship Baptist Church in The Colony, Texas, a northern suburb of Dallas. He makes frequent trips back to NJ to meet the obligations and engagements of the group. In his absence, Kevin has left the choir in the talented and gifted hands of Yolanda Grice now serves as the Minister of Music for the church.
