Album Notes

Bob Clendenen – Bob is an ASCAP award winning composer with music degrees from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and the California Institute of the Arts. He was born in Atlanta, GA. and is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist who has emerged out of the world of experimental music into roots based song forms. A co-founder of the L.A. Avant Freak Jam Band FOOD (1996-2001), Bob has worked with a wide variety of artists from grammy award winning jazz bassist Charlie Haden to psychedelic pop singer/songwriter Stew. Bob has also opened for artists as diverse as Frank Black to the Ominous Seapods. Bob’s CD “INFORMED GUTBUCKET” explores his love of country, folk, folk rock, blues and bluegrass, and blends these various elements into an exciting style of song which reflect important ingredients of these traditions while occasionally adding sophisticated orchestrations to give the music a feeling of warmth and depth. Bob’s songs also contain strong lyrical content, and tell meaningful stories.
