Cleoma's Ghost, an old time Cajun duo: emotional lyrics with heart wrenching melodies superimposed on driving, up tempo, foot-tapping rhythms. The unrelenting guitar, intensely emotional fiddle and lamenting vocals capture the musical spirit of the Cajun people. This duo wants you to come into their living room where, with you, they will conjure up the rich emotive quality of their special blend of Cajun music. Here, they'll help you move the furniture aside to make room...you won't be able to stop yourself from dancing. You will swoon at the beauty of the waltzes. If you come into their living room, they will have stories to tell. Buffy will sing a sad song about a little milk cow (Cayette est Morte) and she will preface it by describing the biggest bull she ever saw as she was journeying in SW Louisiana (In Grand Chenier, Chere, if you wanna check it out). Roger will sing you a song about a monkey who steals his master's fiddle and ends up on the roof sawing away 'The Monkey and the Fiddle' (mais, we won't tell you the end here, we don't want to spoil the surprise).

These guys want to share their love and passion for the music!!! People who have never heard Cajun music before as well as Cajun music die-hards will feel "Mon Coeur Est avec Toi" on a visceral level. With the lyrics in Cajun French, the sometimes tender, sometimes haunting or sassy harmonies....the push and pull of the rhythms...this music is as sweet as a Southern Peach, as Spicy as a hot chili pepper and sometimes a little on the "stanky" side!!!

So many stories to tell... both Roger and Buffy have traveled extensively in Cajun country... sitting and playing and listening with the Old as well as the New generations of Cajun musicians. On their new CD they have distilled their unique blend of spices into this collection of traditional and original Cajun French tunes. You will hear whispers of blues, folk, swing and the hills of the Catskills infused into this music... It is true-to-Cajun-music-and-culture: a veritable gumbo of Cajun styles.
