Album Notes

Our theme for Soul Series CD number 6 is the Soul Searching in which we are all constantly engaged.

We include 14 tracks of my spiritual, Urantia-inspired poetry interlaced with Mark's instrumental arrangements. And we add 12 guest artist tracks.

Cristina Seaborn's soaring strings on "Gilmore's Fiddle." Dark Fire Cloud's soulful rhythms on "Kingdom of Heaven" and "Lord's Prayer." Common Ground, featuring Susan Mogilka, presents a memorable "Woodstock" performance. Lily Fraser's beautiful voice drives "May You Be." Em McElderry wails a powerful "Hurricane Blues," joined by his 12 string steel dobro.

The comically poignant Mark Turnbull turns thoughtful lyrics and unique guitar stylings on "Baggage" and "Now is the Hour." Charley Packard's downhome love stories "Feel the Sun" and "Lay Down Again With You" are accompanied by his guitar and harmonica. Mark Austin and friends roll out a full band sound with "Same Moon Arising" and "Do You Hear Me?"
