Buzz Clifford
Buzz is a pianist from Aiken, South Carolina and should not be confused with the guitarist Buzz Clifford (also a CDBABY artist!) that is the writer of the hit song “Baby Sittin' Boogie”.
He has been playing piano since age 7, when he took lessons from the nuns at St. Angela Academy in Aiken, where his family moved from New York. His father had been an arranger for Irving Berlin, a graphic designer of covers for sheet music and a banjo player in big bands before moving to the south.
He studied Philosophy at USC in Aiken and spent four years in the U.S.Navy. He is a former member of the hit group Spiral Staircase and has been a featured performer at the Playboy Club in Chicago, and all the major Jazz and show clubs in New York and Los Angeles. Returning home to the South, he has been a major player in the music scenes in Athens and Augusta, Georgia and Aiken and Colombia, S.C. for the last several years, and has recorded with the Godfather Of Soul, Mr. James Brown. He has three children.
Buzz is currently involved in recording several compact discs of various material and line-ups of which “Buzz For Sale” is the first.

Review from England
author: John Pitchers
My wife and I had the pleasure of listening, and being introduced to, Buzz in Aitken earlier this year whilst on holiday in The States. We had been told about Buzz's incredible technique bedfore we saw him in person. This makes listening to this CD even more rewarding- very enjoyable and impossible to categorise, but does that matter? Try to get to see him playing if you can.
John Pitchers, Norfolk, England.
