I'm a first grade teacher by day, NYC based singer songwriter by night. I'm deeply influenced by singers coming out of the Soul and R&B tradition; namely, Sam Cooke, Ray Charles, and Van Morisson. Being a soul music fan I dig Mike's CD so much. His voice is emotional and can really nail the song just righ. That is important as his self-titled disc is full of great songs deserving to be heard - "Make It Feel Good" is a potential radio hit! Really good stuff. Read more...
