Album Notes

Lambeth in South London was the place appointed for the arrival of this rare UK Gospel talent. Born in May 1976 to Clint and Desree Jordan, Clinton is the firstborn of 8 siblings. The Jordan Family is a musical family firmly established in the annals of UK Gospel Music history.
With the Jordan Family that Clinton forged his path in music world singing, song writing, arranging, engineering and producing the Jordan Family album project. As well as being a highly regarded vocalist, talented keyboardist, drummer and bass guitarist, Clinton is in high demand for his production skills. He can often be found working away at his recording and production base St Annes Studios.
Arrivals and Departures: Now embarking on his hotly anticipated solo career, Clinton is gearing up for the release of his long awaited debut album ‘Arrivals and Departures’. Recorded at St Annes Studios this album project is true labour of love for Clinton and all those associated with the project. In the album he explores the many trials and circumstances that Christians have to endure in a modern materialistic world. This eclectic mix of R’n’B, Rock, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Praise and Worship will cause the listener to experience a variety of emotions whilst taking you on the journey from repentance to rejoice. Clinton has a burning desire to see the transference of the power of music back into the hands of the church for the ultimate goal of seeing people being healed, restored and reconnect to God through the life saving message of the Gospel, The Ultimate Arrival and Departure: JESUS CHRIST.

REVIEWS

It\'s not uncommon to hear albums that are simply an unfocused journey through various contemporary styles of music: here\'s a rock song, here\'s a pop song, there\'s an R&B song. But it\'s truly rare to find an album (such as this) that is so focused and united in its genre-blending sound, yet hard to classify. There\'s the Outkast-ish \"Supa Man\", which makes dancing irresistable; a few songs later, there\'s the jazzy chromatic electric piano & frantic gospel drums holding down the looped groove on \"Waiting\". Then there\'s the dancey Justin Timberlake-with-funkier-beats of \"Your Ways\". The prog rock workout of \"Monsters\" sounds like Tool with a choir of Freddy Mercurys singing; it\'s fascinating stuff. As a whole, it\'s a concept album, dealing with arriving on earth and getting to heaven in the end. The musical journey on which it takes the listener is a wild and wonderful ride, made up of excellent musicianship, stellar singing, and first rate production that places the sound firmly in 2008, while still keeping an eye on the history of soul, rock and R&B music. It\'s a good thing to hear an album that blends genres so seamlessly. With 24 tracks and almost 80 minutes of music, the album is a thorough exploration of ecstatic gospel, R&B, and pop styles, and at the end, you\'ll want to take it again.
