Album Notes

This collection of music feels a lot like a diary to me. It spans over about 4 years of my life from 2003-2007. I made about 50 other songs in this time period but only these tracks felt right for the "Secrets of the Invisible" concept. These songs contain many secrets spoken through flutes, guitars, synthesizers, organs , and drum machines intertwined with ghostly whispers of sampled sounds. I played most of the live instruments on this album but also received help on a few tracks. "Electric Winged Astronaut" was co-produced by IamtheSnow, he played alot of the synth and drums."New Blue Cariatid" features a very close friend and fellow art nerd, Jen Boogie along with two other people in her capoeira group, on vocals. she also named the track. "Jump Ye Sinners" features my good friend Elspeth Iralu on dulcimer. "A Net to Catch Lovers" is a remix for a southwest instrumental rock band, Mileva, and features Jen Boog on flute. And finally, the electric guitar on the title track "Secrets of the Invisible" was whipped up by none other than my musical soulmate and power move extroidinare Otrek Voivod. (Cloud Face + Otrek = Ghost in the Headphones)

In 2007 a night club opened here in Gallup, and for the short time they where open I did live paintings on their hip-hop night. The front and back covers of this cd where paintings I executed from begining to end on stage(with the occasional b-boy circle), and interestingly enough I ended up liking these pieces more than alot of the paintings I spent days or even weeks on. The rest of the album art was selected from the "Secrets of the Invisible" art show (mad props to RonB for rockin that show with me) in earley 2008. I felt the art was a visual representation of my album which was supposed to be released the night of the gallery opening. When I found out that the cd wouldn't be ready in time(for a number of reasons) it was too late to push the show back. But never the less, here it is(nearly a year later). I hope you enjoy it. It's time for me to get back to work on the next project.peace.
