Cloudviewishwater is a dark psychedelic experiment of subtle and shifting textures and drones. trance -ambient layers of tone designed to enhance personal journeys, visualizations, and other forms of exploration.
Cloudviewishwater was composed and recorded by Steve Roffeld, a resident of Mt Shasta, California, who is also a member of the experimental underground duo Receptor Sight.
This is a heavy atmospheric zone-drone piece. the first track is 25 minutes of suble changes, and swirling floating sounding ( the hebrew name of the album roughly translates as 'to fly forever and ever') textures, sounding electronic, but mostly derived from the voice and mutated into a sort of dark mellotronish psychedelic drone.
the second piece comes in after a long silence, with the levels set a bit lower. you can put this disc on repeat and probably fall asleep. or turn it up and do some painting, sculpting or writing. it is hypnotic and intense, for those people who really listen to music, allowing it to permeate inside.
for those of you into old tangerine dream (zeit, alpha centauri) coil or other experimental drone pieces, you will probably enjoy this album.

Beautifully Ominous

This is a great CD. My only complaint would be that I wish track two was twice as long, as it's a great track. This is great lava lamp music. Highly devious mood rock.
