Album Notes

In the nine years of their existance the Cluricauns have covered a lot of ground. In the beginning days, the group drew their inspiration from folkrock in the style of The Levellers and The Waterboys. Even though echoes of these bands are still resound, the Cluricauns have developed a sound of their own. The band’s trademarks are catchy and uplifting tunes. Although accordeon and tin whistle provide a traditional touch, influences of rock and jazz are also present. The band have already produced four CD’s. Their most recent CD “Borrowed & Blue” received excellent reviews but the Cluricauns are first and foremost a live band. A long series of concerts has resulted in a spectaculary energetic live act. The band have been support act for The Levellers and The Dubliners and has played the Danish Skagen Festival and the Belgian Dranouter Folkfestival, sharing the bill with Emmylou Harris and Jamie Cullum. No matter the size of the venue, the Cluricauns will touch your heart and get your feet moving.
