Message from the Pastor's Pen;

I greet you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. I am extremely thankful that God has allowed the Calvary Church Family to share this small piece of our worship experience with you and your family. In order for God to make a real difference in our world, the worship experience must move beyond the walls of our churches and invade the human hearts of our people. Jesus said that God is seeking those who will worship in "Spirt and in Truth!" Therefore, it is my prayer that those who are open to the spirit of this project will be richly blessed by the songs of praise and the preaching of God's Word. I also pray that as you worship with us, you will grow in your understanding of God's activity in your life, and that the Spirit of the Lord might seek you out for a special blessing.

Church Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church to share the sacrificial love of God, as displayed in the life, the death, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ to every person that we come into contact with. We believe that it is through the gracious act of God's love that the world is redeemed from sin, death and the grave. Thus, since we have benefited from such a gracious act of sacrifice, we are now called to share the message of God's love with our families and communities through similar acts of grace and sacrifice.

Church Vision Statement

The members of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church will carry out our mission by dedicating ourselves to being a representation of the Kingdom of God in our community, our city, and our world. The Kingdom of God is realm where God's Word and God's Spirit rule over the hearts and minds of all people. Such a Kingdom is crucially needed, especially in times such as these where it seems that an alliance of cruel and unconcerned forces rule over the lives of poverty stricken people. The Kingdom of God is a place where people are redeemend from sin, made complete in Christ, and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is our belief the physical reality of people can be healed and transformed by a commitment to spiritual endeavors that effect the mind and raise the consciousness. We will use all the tools that God makes available to us to help this vision of the Kingdom of God become a reality.
