Album Notes

Charles has composed in a number of different genres, jazz, classical, gospel, instrumental and has worked as a song writer at MRC music in New York as well as played with or opposite such diverse musicans as the Miles Davis rythmn section in studio, and Jimmy Hendrix and the Beach Boys on stage.

Charles plays woodwinds piano and guitar, and he and Mary do vocals together. Mary was a folk singer and sang professionally on the east coast. They have been married thirty seven years. They have recorded 13 CDs between 1975 and the 2006.

This project, LOVE IS THE WIND, is the first we have devoted strictly to songs about Love. We have tried to express the many dimensions of that limitless subject that have occurred in our lives. All songs written and arranged by Charles.
