Album Notes

"Chinese Natural World" - Vol. II
Featuring Chinese Bowed Instruments
Bowed instruments of the Er-hu family are much loved in China, and require great sensitivity and technique to extract their best. This recording features Lawrence Wong playing traditional and popular Chinese melodies. Accompanied by Qu-di and Yeung-kum, we are taken into Beijing Opera, festivals, and the introspective world of long-gone artistes. The natural environments in which the music is performed were chosen to reflect the places where this music was originally heard.

Chinese Natural Tranquility
author: Dr. Judy
The Chinese Natural World CDs, volumes 1 - 3, are great! Serene traditional Chinese melodies, featuring woodwind and stringed instruments, resonate amidst the peaceful sounds of nature: birds; ocean surf; rivers and gently trickling streams. Superb performances feature the bamboo flute, Erhu, and other wonderful instruments. These CDs create tranquil and peaceful ambience, making them superb for listening while you relax, read, or work. Each CD in the series has a different timbre, allowing you to select the volume that best suits your passion for listening. I highly recommend all three CDs in the Chinese Natural World series.
