It’s all about the songs…

We really started out with a bunch of songs we felt just had to be recorded by other artists who would have the ability to make them their own. We are primarily songwriters who wanted to give the professional, touring musicians another, more mature, (if somewhat raw), choice in the selection of songs for their repertoire. As former touring musicians, we know how difficult it can be to write and tour at the same time.

So, how do we get these songs to the right people? You’re reading the answer. Thus begins the mythology of The Coastal Cowboys.

“Flint and Squint Bluesole” are monikers intended to reflect the mystique and free spirit of the Old West in modern times. The idea is that somewhere, somehow, we are all still cowboys riding off into the sunset.

That being said, the songs also come from a very real place that makes them easy for the listener to internalize. The different genres should keep you interested as well.

So if you hum along a bit, (just quiet enough to keep your office mates from noticing), and tap a toe or two, you might just feel the sound of the surf and the creak of a saddle…
