“A Breath of October” sounds like smoke drifting from a neighbor's fireplace on a cold, wet fall evening: dark, lonely, mellow, psychedelic sounds with a gothic, jazzy flair and strange progressive rock passages.

notes
With a dark, intense, (and sometimes jazzy) psychedelic rock / gothic sound, Cobweb Strange has been compared to a bizarrely wide range of artists from classic rock groups like the Doors, Pink Floyd and King Crimson to 80s alternative groups such as The Police, U2, Echo & The Bunnymen and R.E.M. to New Age artists like Nightnoise & Andreas Vollenweider to modern bands like Porcupine Tree, A Perfect Circle and Tool - all without actually sounding like any of these bands. "A Breath of October," the band's third album, offers a new landscape of tones to explore.
The Music Street Journal wrote:
"...With A Breath of October (Cobweb Strange) have given us a disc that shows a band finding their own way in the musical landscape and bringing a new maturity to their sound. It is really an unusual sound, rather dark and a bit strange, but I can't help but like it. I look forward to seeing where these guys find themselves next, as they continue to show more and more promise...."

Reviving my love of Jazz
author: Robert SmithI found this band completly by accident searching for a friend in another band (Ricky Zero) and found this. had i found Cobweb Strange years ago i wouldn't have stoped listening to Jazz. Awesome i love it!
Great
author: TimNice and dark and jazzy at times. Loved the long intro to Pure. Highly recommended.
Great! Definately a different style of music!
author: Melanie CoxI bought the cd because one of my friends is actually in Cobweb Strange (Brandi). The band did a great job with the songs, and I love that the album has a wide range of vocal AND instrumental pieces. A lot of bands now-a-days sound the same: the lead vocal's voices, the beats. That is not the case with Cobweb Strange! I highly recommend buying "A Breathe of October," or any album's from Cobweb Strange!!
