James Cockerham has been writing, arranging and producing Gospel music for over thirty years. He writes songs that give the listeners hope. He has chosen to continue as an independent label during all his recording career. He still sells his CDs from the trunk of his car and at appearances throughout the SE. His CDs and records are in homes around the world: Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. James is amused and flattered when he comes in contact with young people who say, "I found one of your albums at my parent's house." He still remembers 4 track studios.

When I was a child growing up, my brother and I were sent to the country to stay with our Grandmother during the summer. I can still hear her sing throughout the day while she was ironing, baking or coming in from cleaning someone elses house. Two of her favorite favorite hymns were "Sweet Hour Of Prayer" and Blessed Assurance". You take me back to that precious time in my life with your gentle melodic renditions.
